Cabin At The Lake is our family's seasonal retreat, now shared with friends and family who need a break from the city.
Every upgrade — the new bathroom, the kitchen renovation and much more — was done by me and my son. We hope you can feel the care in every corner.
Location
Steps from the sandy shores of Grand Marais on Lake Winnipeg, about an hour north of Winnipeg. Close to Grand Beach Provincial Park.

Renovated kitchen and bathroom, wood stove, fire pit, BBQ, Wi‑Fi, bedding and towels, and a deck for morning coffee.

Swimming, beach days, kayaking, hiking the dunes and boardwalk trails, fishing, and stargazing by the fire.

Grocery, hardware and convenience stores in Grand Marais, with more options in nearby Selkirk.
Restaurants
Local diners, ice cream stands and summer patios within a short drive along Highway 12 and 59.
Getting here
An easy drive from Winnipeg on Highways 59 and 12, with private driveway parking right at the cabin for two vehicles.

Cabin info
Arrival & keys
Check‑in 3 pm, check‑out 11 am. The lockbox code is sent the day before arrival.
Where to find things
Extra blankets in the hall closet, dishes and pots in the kitchen cabinets, beach toys and life jackets in the shed.
Heaters & wood stove
Baseboard heaters have a dial on each unit. Firewood is stacked by the back door — please keep the stove door closed when lit.
Water
Tap water is safe for washing. Bottled drinking water is under the kitchen sink. Please keep showers short — the tank is small.
Garbage & recycling
Bins are beside the shed. Please bag everything and close lids tightly to keep animals out.
Safety
Fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink, first aid kit in the bathroom, smoke and CO detectors in every room. Emergency: call 911.
